Overlay:
Also known as ‘European’, or ‘Frameless’ design, the benefits of overlay include: lower cost, a very clean look, and maximum storage space. These cabinets can be made to appear traditional or modern, formal or casual, appropriate for beachside or city living.

Inset:
Also known as ‘furniture style construction’ or ‘face frame inset construction’; this technique has been used for years in the United States. Signature to Old Charleston homes, these cabinets can run 70-100% more in cost than the overlay options. In the end, these cabinets can appear to be more furniture-like and may feature concealed or exposed butt hinges. (See inset)

Our construction is consistent with top of the line standards in our industry. We use dowel construction on all cabinets. All of our drawers are solid wood and are assembled using dovetail techniques.
